Pioneer Fire Company responded with Engine 15-1, Tower 15, UTV-15, and Traffic 15. Mutual aid from Lincoln Fire Company Station 16 also responded to assist. Early this afternoon, Pioneers, along with Ephrata Ambulance and Ephrata Police, were dispatched to Rt222 Southbound for a motor vehicle accident.

Chief 15 arrived to find two vehicles involved — one with minor damage and the other sustaining severe front-end damage. The vehicles collided, with one striking the guide rail before crossing both lanes and coming to rest in the center grass median.
