| Honoring Captain Brandon “Fluffy” Hilton
In honor of Fair Week, we felt this was the perfect time to mount something in the station that has been months in the making. On December 26, 2021, we lost a firefighter like no other to COVID. Our Captain, Brandon “Fluffy” Hilton, passed away from complications of the virus. His loss created a void that will never truly be filled. Fluffy’s dedication to the fire service and his gift for mentoring younger members was unparalleled, and his presence is missed every single day.
Over the past several months, two of our members poured their hearts into building a shadow box to preserve memories of a man who meant so much to our company. Yesterday, mounting that shadow box above his former locker in the main engine bay became our station’s most important duty of the day as it would have been his birthday.
This display is more than wood, glass, and gear—it is a lasting reminder of the brother, leader, and friend we were blessed to serve alongside. May Fluffy’s memory forever live within Station 15 for generations to come.
We love you; we miss you, and we will never forget you, Captain Hilton. ❤️ If you stop by the station during Fair Week, please take a moment to pause and reflect on the legacy Fluffy left behind. |
