| Evan says he never had a single “lightbulb moment”, he’s always known this was his path. Growing up surrounded by local fire events, building LEGO fire engines, and admiring the job from a young age, he spent years looking up to firefighters and is now honored to stand alongside them as part of the team. One of the things Evan enjoys most is being able to give back in the same way he once received. He remembers sitting in the front row during fire prevention classes, hanging on every word, and now he’s the one helping with those demonstrations. He takes pride in showing kids that the person behind the mask is there to help, just like his role models once showed him. He also values the strong sense of family he’s found within the fire service. Outside of the firehouse, Evan works with his dad in a home remodeling company and enjoys woodworking, camping with friends, and fishing. One of his favorite experiences so far has been being part of the Every 15 Minutes program. His advice to new members is simple: listen and learn. |
