Initial information from 911 advised of an apartment filled with smoke, with detectors going off,, but no visible fire.

Chief 15 arrived and established command while the first-due engine laid a 5” supply line down Cloverbrook to the rear of the apartment building.

Crews conducted a thorough investigation of the structure and were able to determine the source of the smoke was a malfunctioning HVAC unit, not an active fire.

After approximately 30 minutes on scene, crews began picking up equipment, with all units clearing by 10:22 PM.

We would like to thank our mutual aid partners for their assistance and coordinated response.
