| Who currently serves as 1st Vice President and has held numerous leadership roles throughout his time with the Pioneer Fire Company, including Fire Chief (1976–1985), President (1985–1990), Chief Engineer (1993–1999), and Engineer/Equipment Operator (1999–2023). He has been a dedicated member of the fire service since February 19, 1960, following in the footsteps of his mother, sister, and brother who were also members. In addition to his service, he has been a faithful member of Bethany United Church of Christ since 1950. What he enjoys most about being part of the fire company is the strong sense of tradition and family connection it brings. Outside of the firehouse, he enjoys fixing broken things and spending time at the beach—heading down in the morning with his radio and some snacks to relax for the day, especially in or near the ocean in Ocean City, Maryland. A piece of advice he would share with new members is to stay committed and take pride in being part of something bigger than yourself. |
