| Crews arrived on scene and immediately assisted EMS with life-saving measures on a male resident. The patient was transported to the hospital for further care. We are incredibly happy to report that the patient was successfully revived, has since been discharged from the hospital, and is now home doing well. Tonight, the Pioneer crews who responded to that incident were presented with Life Saving Commendations from the Emergency Health Services Federation, a division of the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The certificates were presented by Kevin Wolf, EMS Manager of Ephrata Community Ambulance. Incidents like this highlight the importance of strong cooperation between fire, EMS, and police, and the dedication of those who serve our community. |
