| Today at 3:17 PM, Pioneers, along with our mutual aid partners, were dispatched to the 200 block of E Walnut Street for a reported dwelling fire. Crews arrived to find an oven fire that had already been extinguished, with no extension beyond the appliance. Units remained on scene briefly to assist the homeowner with ventilation before returning to service. Later this evening, during our weekly training night, we conducted a combined training session with members from Lincoln Fire focused on natural gas emergencies. Training was provided by a specialized division of UGI, covering recognition and mitigation of gas leak incidents. In total, approximately 60 members between the two departments participated in the training. Joint trainings like this are invaluable—not only do they strengthen interdepartment working relationships, but they also maximize efficiency by allowing multiple departments to train together. Great turnout and solid learning all around. 👨🚒🔥 #volunteer #training #traintogether #community #PioneerProud #EPFC #prepardness |
