Every year during the Ephrata Fair, our dedicated volunteers staff the fire station around the clock to ensure we are ready to respond when our community needs us.
However, our station does not have bunk rooms. For years, that has meant our members who stay overnight have had to sleep on the floor.
NOT THIS YEAR!
Our friends at RV Value Mart stepped up in a BIG way! This generous local business donated the use of RVs, which are parked behind our station, giving our volunteers a comfortable place to sleep during Fair Week.
For many, it may seem like a small gesture. But for our members, having an actual bed to sleep in instead of the floor means more than words can express.
This is what community partnership is all about. A local business recognizing a need and stepping up to support the volunteers who serve our community.
From all of us at Ephrata Pioneer Fire Company, THANK YOU, RV Value Mart, for your incredible generosity and support of our members! Your kindness is truly appreciated, and you have made a difference for our volunteers this week.
RV Value Mart has also brought several brand-new RVs to display right out front of our station along State Street!
