From everyone at Pioneer Fire Company, we want to sincerely thank everyone who came out last night for our Community Movie Night!
We weren't quite sure what to expect when we planned this event, but our community showed up in force! Just under 200 people joined us for an evening of free food, backpacks, and a movie together.
We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support. Seeing so many families, children, friends, and neighbors gathered together at our station is exactly what events like this are all about.
We were also able to give away approximately 80 backpacks with school supplies to children in our community, helping make sure they're ready to start the 2026–2027 school year off on the right foot!
We plan to divide the remaining backpacks and supplies among the schools throughout Ephrata Area School District so they are available during the school year for any student who may need one. Our goal is to make sure children in our community have access to the proper tools and supplies they need to succeed throughout the entire school year, not just on the first day.
To everyone who spent part of their Friday night with us: THANK YOU! Your support of Pioneer and the men and women who volunteer here means more to us than you know.
We are proud to serve this community, and even more grateful to be a part of it.
