July was an exceptionally busy month for the volunteers of Ephrata Pioneer Fire Company

During the month of July, our members responded to 99 emergency incidents—a number that may very well be the highest monthly call volume in our company's history. To put that into perspective, we responded to 52 incidents during July of last year.

A significant portion of that increase came from the severe weather that impacted our area on July 4th, 5th, and 6th. During that three-day period alone, our volunteers answered 45 emergency calls, contributing an incredible 328.5 volunteer personnel hours to keep our community safe.

As of the end of July, our company is now 94 incidents ahead of where we were at this same point in 2025.
