2006 Polaris Ranger UTV
Responds:
The Special Unit responds as needed for emergencies during special events. This includes the Ephrata Fair, weather emergencies and events where access is restricted by crowds or building design. The unit is also equipped for brush fires and to handle calls on the Liner Park, Rail Trail. It is equipped with various brush fire tools, extinguishers, emergency patient transport and 400 feet of hose in various sizes. It is able to respond out of town when requested with the trailer. The unit was donated to the company by a grant program offered by the US Smokeless Tobacco Company with work from Senator Noah Wenger.

This unit is utilized by the Fire Police and responds as needed for traffic control. The Squad is equipped with a full compliment of traffic control equipment including communications, cones, barrier tape, portable road barriers and DOT warning signs. It also includes seating for four members.
Squad 1-5-3
1986 Ford/Reading E-350 4x4 Conversion

This unit is utilized for various emergency and non emergency responses including; specialized rescues, water/ice emergencies, severe weather events, lighting and tows rescue boats 1-5-3, 1-5-4. The Squad is equipped with a full compliment of specialized rescue equipment including PFDs, dry suits, exposure suits, water rescue throw bags, rescue rope, rescue rope systems hardware, stokes basket and other rescue gear. The Squad also has a generator and scene lighting. This unit was obtained following the merger between Ephrata Area Rescue Services and Lincoln Fire Company, stations 1-15 and 1-6. Ephrata Rescue had designed and built the Squad to serve as their Rescue until it was replaced with a larger unit. It was then refitted to service as the tow vehicle for a specially built water rescue boat trailer and rescue boats. It was equipped as a special rescue response unit and a back up vehicle rescue unit. Along with the Squad came the boat trailer and rescue boats.
