Wednesday, June 2, 2010 The Ephrata Pioneers were dispatched to assist EMS with a Landing Zone for a patient with a traumatic injury. Engine 1-5-1 responded and established the LZ and assisted EMS with patient care and transporting the patient the short distance to the helicopter. Penn Star 4 arrived and crew assisted in loading the patient in the aircraft. Engine 1-5-1 then returned available.
