The Ephrata Pioneer Fire Company would like to introduce Squad 1-5-2, our newest addition to the fleet of apparatus used to better serve and protect the residents and visitors to the Ephrata Area. Squad 1-5-2 is a 2003 Chevy AWD Astro Van that will be utilized by the Fire Police division of the company. Squad 2 can carry 4 members and a host of traffic control equipment and devices. This vehicle will now help the Fire Police better protect firefighters and direct the community around emergency scenes from fires to accidents to weather closures. The unit carries additional barricades, DOT signs and radio equipment including the new Pyramid Repeater system which allows members to communicate further and more reliable making the job to traffic control easier and safer. The vehicle was equipped and assembled by the members of the Fire Police division of the Fire Company. Job well done.
