Shortly before 2 am Monday morning units were dispatched to 998 Hammon Ave to assist Station 1-6 (Lincoln) with an apartment building fire. First arriving units encountered heavy fire from the rear and roof of the structure and quickly dispatched the second alarm assignment. Multiple handlines were deployed and a primary search of all 12 units was completed while Engine 1-6-1, Truck 1-5 and Truck 2-5 (Lititz) set up for master stream operations. Crews brought the fire under control in apporximately 30 minutes but remained on scene for several hours completing salvage and overhaul operations and hitting any hot spots.
